Book Review #2 -- The Invention of Hunge Cabret

Topic: The Invention of Hugo Cabret

Hugo's father was a clockmaker. Unfortunately, his father was killed in a fire.  Hugo has been sent to his uncle place.  There is a hidden room inside of the walls of train station.  Hugo live here and maintain the station clocks.

One night his uncle disappears. Now Hugo is alone, still living inside the station walls, stealing to survive, and still maintaining the clocks so no one will know his uncle is gone.Hugo's father worked on a mechanical man and wanted to restore this automation mechanical man . Hugo meets a girl named Isabelle  She help Hugo to continue his father task.  After they involving more efforts in repairs of  mechanical man, they find out secret message and the mystery of who created the Automaton and why.

My favorite part of this book is not only the interesting Hugo's journey of adventure and discovery,  but also its rich black and white illustrations which reminds one more of movie stills than graphic novels.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret is full of amazement, unique and  magic.  It is not only suited  for the child reader, for the adult reader,  but also for art lover, the film fans.  Please do not be scared of the size  and page of this book, because   most of the pages are purely illustrations.  When you start to read this book, you will realize that you cannot stop reading and fall in the world of Hugo.
